EERA JPNM Call for Event Grant Applications

The EERA Joint Programme on Nuclear Materials would like to cordially invite you to participate in the call for EERA JPNM Event Grant (EG) applications. 

This call gives the opportunity to all JPNM members (full and associate) to apply for financial support of an Event of consistence with the JPNM scope jointly organized by (preferably) several JPNM members. In particular cases, also non-JPNM colleagues may participate.

Event Grants can be asked for:

–     Support of Sub-programme related scientific workshops or symposia (outside funded projects or in complement to them)

–     Support of project meetings of JPNM Pilot Projects, if necessary for the progressing of the Pilot Projects

–     Support to meet for preparing a proposal to react on a call other than EURATOM, if no other possibility (e. g., by email, via online) is given for an ideal preparation of the proposal

–     Support of an activity around social acceptance of nuclear energy

–     Other initiatives consistent with the JPNM goals and scope, supporting the collaboration and networking of the JPNM members or other aims.

This call is open from June 8 till July 6, 2026.The outcome of the evaluation process will be communicated to the applicants by July 31, 2026.

Future of Advanced Materials Europe workshop

The Technology Council for Advanced Materials cordially invites you to the Future of Advanced Materials Europe (FAME) workshop that takes place in November 26 – 27, 2025, in Aveiro, Portugal. The workshop is immediately followed by the Future of the European Advanced Materials Ecosystem (FAME-EcoSys) event, organised by the InnoMatSyn project and the IAM-I association, and will be held on November 27 – 28, 2025 in the same location. The events will be linked but can be attended separately and each will have its own unique focus.

 The FAME workshop consists of 3 panel sessions focussing on some of the key recommendations:

1.         Overcoming barriers faced in the uptake and deployment of advanced materials

2.         Public and private sector investments in advanced materials

3.         Scale-up of advanced materials

Call for JPNM Travel/Training Grant Applications

The call for Travel/Training Grants gives the possibility to all JPNM members (full and associate members) to apply for financial support either:

– for a scientific visit at a research institution (of another JPNM member or another institution in the field of nuclear materials)

or

– to visit a conference/participate in a workshop

or

– to cover the costs of a training.

All activities have to correspond to JPNM relevant research topics and bring added value to the EERA JPNM community which should be clearly described in the application.

The upper limit for each grant will be 1000 EUR within Europe or 1500 EUR outside Europe. If there are several, only one application per institution per call may be granted. Also, only one grant per person per year may be granted.

Applications can be sent at any time during the year. Four times a year there will be a deadline and all applications sent before will be discussed and approved/rejected by the EERA JPNM Steering Committee. Travels or trainings starting before the date of the approval of the grant applications are not eligible for funding. After approval the Grant is valid for 6 months. Therefore, it is advised to check carefully the point in time the Travel/Training Grant is needed to start the application in accordance with the given timeframes:

– 1st deadline in the year is 31st March, decision by JPNM SC 30th of April -> grant valid from 1st of May until 31st of October

– 2nd deadline in the year is 30th of June, decision by JPNM SC 31st of July -> grant valid from 1st of August until 31st of January (following year)

– 3rd deadline in the year is 30th of September, decision by the JPNM SC on 31st of October -> grant valid from 1st of November until 30th of April (following year)

– 4th deadline in the year is 31st of December, decision by the JPNM SC on 31st of January -> grant valid from 1st of February until 31st of July.

The applications will be evaluated and the final results will be communicated to you according to the time schedule described above.
