EERA inter-JP cross-fertilization workshop on materials for energy applications and technologies
The aim is to identify possible interactions on materials testing and qualification, modelling and advanced characterization, as well as innovative materials, and in general to present open questions and needs from all JPs where materials are an issue

Overview activities of ‘materials dedicated’ Joint Programmes (AMPEA, NM) and materials issues and challenges in other EERA Joint Programmes (JPs);
– Identify bottlenecks and foster interactions between JPs on materials testing and qualification, modelling and advanced characterization, as well as on innovative materials;
– Discuss the European context starting with a presentation of the SET Plan materials roadmap “Materials for Low Carbon Technologies”, by Prof. Harald Bolt (EERA ExCo for Helmholtz Association and Forschung Zentrum Jülich);
– Have the views of industrials on materials for energy by the participation of Dr. Fabrice Stassin, managing director of EMIRI.
