GEMMA Final meeting

GEMMA Final meeting

The meeting, after the presentations of the technical WPs, will be concluded by a round table animated by the main stakeholders of the fourth generation reactors. It will last half a day and will be associated with a half-day “Final technical workshop” in which the major technical insights related to the project will be presented.
The “Final technical workshop” will be held on 15 November afternoon and the “GEMMA Final Meeting” will be held on 16 November afternoon.
When: Monday 15-11-2021 13:00 – Tuesday 16-11-2021 17:20
Where: Online

GEMMA Online Workshop on Welding technologies for Generation-IV systems, their qualifications and residual stress modelling

GEMMA Online Workshop on Welding technologies for Generation-IV systems, their qualifications and residual stress modelling

The workshop is organized by the Joint Research Centre in the context of the dissemination activities of the EURATOM co-funded project GEMMA – Generation IV Materials Maturity. The overall objective of GEMMA “is to qualify and codify the selected structural materials for the construction of Generation IV reactors, as envisaged within the European Sustainable Nuclear Industrial Initiative (ESNII).”

When: Monday 04-10-2021 09:30 – Tuesday 05-10-2021 13:00
Where: Online

The programme of the workshop comprises contributions in relation to Work Package 2 of GEMMA entitled “Welding development and characterization”. Day one of the workshop addresses the topics weld manufacturing and material characterization, and weld qualification and codification; day 2 will focus on welding residual stresses, their measurement and simulation, and how they are considered in safety and integrity assessments of welded components.

A wrap-up session will conclude each day of the workshop.

Connection details will be communicated in due course. Please be advised that participation is probably possible only after registration.
